Here is a vid of one of Livvy’s runs at our last agility trial. We didn’t win this event. In fact, we went off course at the end when we took the red jump and got disqualified, but I love this video nonetheless. I love it because at the start of a run with Livvy, I give her praise and appreciation. I know, no matter what, whether we win or get disqualified; whether she is super tired at the end of a long agility day, she will give her best.
At the starting line of this run I was giving her praise words and a scratch on the chin, and she looked up into my eyes and gave me a few kisses. Be still my heart — little sweet pea.
This is such a lovely reminder to celebrate the journey and those who are travelling with us even when the outcome is uncertain.
Afterwards, LottaDog (aka Freya) wanted in on the photo shoot with our ribbons but then was like, “Yeah, big deal. Blah, blah. You can’t eat them. They don’t smell good. What’s the point?”
A Course in Miracles advises to spend as much time as possible in the “Holy Instant”, being fully present in, aware of, and open to the Now. This little bit of love on the starting line was a Holy Instant moment, and a blessing.
May the course be with you!

Love that Holy Moment!!
